Haylie + Jamison

Oh my goodness. These guys. Love them to pieces. It could be due to the fact that Haylie is my sister and Jamison ("Jamo") is now my brother-in-law; maybe. Possibly. Probably.  They met while serving in the same LDS mission in Paris, France, but didn't really even know each other existed until they got home and were set up on a practically blind date by my aunt - who lives in the same ward as Jamison's family. Anyway. Long story short, they both speak French, which is the language of love, so obvs that's all that matters and consequently they are perfect for each other. ;)

Their reception was filled with the most classy live jazz music, divine liège waffles, and a very sad baby boy because his photographer mama couldn't hold him (how rude of her). It was the most fantastic celebration that kicked so many typical reception standards to the curb.

So much thanks to my dear friend Rosalyn for being my second shooter and allowing me to be in the family pictures.

Lacey and I Insta-met (totally a word, right?) a couple years ago and we've been following each other on Insta-land (okay I'm done) ever since. I've adore her photography; the way she uses movement and color is inspiring and truly beautiful. It was such a pleasure finally meeting her in real life when her family came up to Salt Lake City for the holidays, and spending an hour with her silly kids filled my cup to the brim. There may or may not have been an accident involving a potty and a three-year-old boy but if you're color blind you won't even notice the change of color of his jeans. ;) (But really, props to Lacey for having a change of jeans for him?!? I mean come on, who even is that prepared.)

Andraszczyk Family

While on vacation in Southern California last May (yes, I know. I'm severely behind on blogging. Just like the rest of my life, hah), I photographed this sweet family of three at Thousand Steps Beach. Jessie is actually my crazy-gorgeous cousin and it was my first time meeting baby Lila, who is now just barely a year old. We nearly had the beach to ourselves and that light - goodness, the whole package left me a happy woman indeed.
